One of the things I love about Indiana summers is what I like to call "Redneck Fun".
It involves mud, and cars, and noise.
Last weekend Marley and I went with some friends to her
very first Demolition Derby.
This car belongs to our friends Mark and Mindy.
Once the green flag was raised,
this is a little sampling of what we saw...
I was initially concerned that the noise would take the fun out of it for Marley. Imagine my delight when she clamped my hands over her ears and whooped and hollered along with the rest of us! It rained for the first time in weeks, adding to the mud and mess. Marley thought it was hysterical when the cars sent mud flying into the stands. She would have made her daddy proud!
